MOT Health Checks
Health Checks can offer employees the chance to stop and take stock of their Health and Wellbeing. Checks provide a picture into the individuals’ health at present. From this, Occupational Health can provide guidance on how to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
Appointments consist of:
- Urine dip test
- Blood pressure check
- Cholesterol and blood sugar testing
All of the above will then be followed by assessment on a BMI machine, which provide information on things such as; visceral fat, body fat, muscle mass, bone mass and the individuals BMI reading.
From this Occupational Health can identify the individual’s risk of developing some of the most disabling – but preventable – illnesses. The nurse advisor will be able to provide information to the individual on ways they can improve their results, this can range from healthy eating, physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight, reducing alcohol intake and smoking cessation.
